FOR DANCERS ONLY opened its doors in Little Falls, NJ in 1988 under the direction of Kelly Allen.

In 2020, FDO moved to Totowa, NJ, and as of the 2025-2026 season, we are excited to announce the construction of a brand new state of the art facility conveniently located in Fairfield, NJ

FOR DANCERS ONLY offers classes from basic beginner to the intermediate, advanced and competitive levels, ages two through adult. FDO class genres include Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theater, Stretch, Leap and Turn, Strength and Conditioning, Hip Hop and Tumbling, Ballroom, and as of 2025, Acting, Singing and Adult dance and fitness classes.

For decades, we have taken great pride in seeing our young dancers grow into wonderful and confident young adults. FOR DANCERS ONLY students, past and present, are performing regularly with the New York City Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet Company, in various Papermill Playhouse Productions, off-Broadway and on BROADWAY with companies such as How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Gypsy, Billy Elliot, Mary Poppins, Pippi Longstocking, Newsies, Carousel, Cats, Bye Bye Birdie, Anastasia, West Side Story, and Matilda and many more. Our dancers and alumni are also active with Broadway touring companies.

You can also see our FDO dancers performing with the  NJ NETS Dancers, NJ NETS Kids Dancers, NJ Devils Dancers, & NY JETS Flight Crew. They have appeared on talk shows, in movies, television commercials, television sitcoms, Disney and Nickelodeon productions, and in national pageants and corporate industrials. Some of our dancers have continued onto study dance and/or  participate on college dance teams at prestigious universities such as Juilliard, Boston Conservatory, University Michigan and Arizona, University of the Arts, Pace, Penn State as well as following careers on Broadway, Dance Companies, Film, Commercials, Cruise Lines and Dance Teams.

With each dance class and new dance experience, our FDO dancers also learn time management skills, good work ethic, teamwork, and how to deal with success and disappointment. They gain confidence that helps them not only get up on stage, but to get up in front of the classroom. Our alumni have also gone on to become doctors, psychologists, lawyers, nurses, business professionals, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and the list of accomplished careers continues. FDO alumni are highly sought after for employment by many NJ area dance studios, and are some of FDOs best teachers and choreographers.

FOR DANCERS ONLY offers an incredible 5-studio facility, featuring marley floors, full wall mirrors, and theatrical lighting.  Our schedule offers a selection of daytime, evening and weekend classes for your convenience.
