Melanie

Melanie Schmidt’s dance education began at the prestigious schools of the Garden State Ballet, Balanchine’s School of American Ballet and the American Ballet Theater School in New York City. Melanie performed in professional ballet for many years and was awarded the Miss New Jersey Pageant’s scholarship for talent. She continues to teach and choreograph at various dance organizations and conventions throughout the United States. She has won top awards at competitions and pageants for her choreography for group and solo variations, and each winter she appears as the guest artist in the “Nutcracker” with Garden State Ballet Company. Melanie is a college graduate with a license in physical therapy, and she is a certified Pilates instructor from the Pilates Studio in New York City.
