Safety First! 

• Parents or drivers should plan to drop-off and pick-up children on time.

• Dancers should not wait alone outside to be picked up. We can not be responsible for dancers once they exit the building.

• Dancers may not use the dance studios without an FDO teacher present.

• Please, NO running in the waiting areas, hallways, or studios.

​Attendance

• Dancers should arrive on time and be prepared for classes, including proper hair and attire. 

• Dancers should attend class on a regular basis.

• Parents should notify the studio if their dancer will be absent.

• Missed Classes - Any classes missed due to illness or inclement weather may be made up. There are no credits or refunds for missed or canceled classes.  There are classes available for all levels to take as make up classes.

Dress Code

• Twosies/Preschool/Combo: Girls - Any color leotard, tights, or socks, pink ballet shoes with elastics and ties tucked in or cut off, black tap shoes, hair must be secured up and off face.  Boys (general)  - any activewear/gym clothes, black ballet slippers and black lace up tap shoes. 

• Acro: Leotard, tights/bare legs/dance shorts, ballet shoes or jazz shoes. Please no baggy clothing.

• Ballet: Black leotard with pink tights, pink ballet slippers; hair must be securely off face and neck and in a secure bun. Boys. black dance pants and white fitted tank or T.  Black or white ballet shoes.

• Hip Hop: Sneakers, comfortable workout clothes (sweats, shorts, t-shirts, jazz pants, etc.). No jeans, please.

• ​Tap: Combo I/II & III classes, black tap shoes. Please replace ribbons with black elastic, or with tap ties. You can also purchase velcro or buckle shoes.​

• Jazz : Any leotard, tights & or dance shorts/pants, tan laceless jazz shoes.​

• Lyrical and Contemporary - Any leotard, footless or convertible tights and foot paws.​

• All Classes: No large earrings or other jewelry. Hair pulled back and secure. 

Personal Belongings

• Names should be marked on all shoes, dance bags, and other personal items.

• Personal belongings can be brought into the dance studios. Please do not leave valuable items unattended in the wait areas.

• FDO is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Miscellaneous​​

• Cell phones must be put on mute during class sessions. 

• FDO is a smoke free studio. No smoking or vaping anywhere in the building, on it's property, sidewalk area or parking lot.

Studio Etiquette

• We believe in providing a very positive and joyful atmosphere where negativity, bullying and inappropriate behavior is unacceptable.

• No dancer or member of a dancer's family will post any information on any social network or other internet or other generally accessible media that may embarrass or otherwise contribute to a making a negative impression of the studio, its owners, its employees and contractors or any other customer of the studio.  Actions of this sort may result in temporary or permanent suspension from all studio participation.

Photos Waiver

• FDO requests permission to take and publish photos of your child in print or online for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to have your child photographed, please let us know in writing.

Liability Waiver

• I understand the activities and risks involved in all For Dancers Only classes.  I hold harmless For Dancers Only, all employees and representatives from all liability, suits and claims arising from participation in or observation of any For Dancers Only activities or events. For Dancers Only is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged property. I also recognize For Dancers Only is not responsible for students when they are outside the classroom. ​​

Important Health Information

• Please let the office know if your child has any food allergies or other special medical needs. When deemed necessary, temperature checks are at each entrance door, and dancers with temperatures over 99.5 will be asked to return home.  Any children experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms should not attend dance class.
